Things to know about Jen: she is hilarious, she sings, she likes pink and canary yellow, she is always at home with a bottle of wine, she makes excellent snacks, and she is a 25 year old woman who is still madly in love with the band Hanson.

Jen has loved these guys since day one, and even though she has gotten to see them in concert, she has never gotten the chance to meet them before now - all you need to do is log into facebook, and click THIS LINK, then like her video on the Casino Nova Scotia facebook page (go to their main page and scroll down til you find the video of the blonde girl and her puppet, if the link acts up.)
Why should you do such a thing, you may be asking. Well, imagine you had the chance to meet your all-time favourite band as long as you were able to harness the power of social networking... I think you'd sweeten the deal as much as you could. Jen is doing just that - part of the prize that the Casino is giving away is a dinner for two - that will be donated to a random person who likes the video! Another lucky "liker" will be winning a free photoshoot from a generous and talented supporter and friend of Jen's!

I don't see the appeal of Hanson, myself. But I do see the appeal of their fans loving them so much. By showing your support of Jen and her video, you are showing your support for thrills and dreams and fandom. We all have things that we just plain like the most, you know? And sometimes we are giving the chance to slap cynicism in the face and say "let's make a little dream come true!"
