Chit Chat: Cool Music

Pretty, pretty cool.
Matt: we don't really discuss music
Marg:  I know! It's because we're not... like, that cool
I mean, I think we're cool but we don't know the new bands that no one has heard of, and we don't go to SXSW or anything
Matt:  i find searching for new music to be exhausting... It's like I'm constantly listening to clips and not liking what I'm hearing
Marg:  I'm pretty accepting of that - like, I just know I am not going to like everything. If I stumble upon something, then great, but looking for it doesn't work haha
Matt:  it really doesn't. I used to be so good at finding new music... I think my taste has changed, and I'm having trouble identifying what exactly it is that I'm looking for
Marg:  Your brain changes as you get older too, we literally don't hear new music the same way we did as teenagers
Matt:  that's sad... I have some friends who are great at it still... I feel like I'm getting stale.
Marg:  they might be faking
Matt:  hahaha
Marg:  I am pretty convinced that some people are just like "Yeah, I love this!" to whatever they think will make them sound hip (yeah, hip!) but in private, they still listen to their old favourites
Matt:  I've been going at a rate of like 2 new albums a year... Maybe these people who fake it are onto something.
