Chit Chat: New Girl "Kids"

Marg:  haha CeCe had a preganancy scare

Matt:  And Jess babysat that little girl who fell in love with Nick... understandably so.
I thought it was a pretty solid episode
I'm really glad that Cece wasn't preggers
Marg:  ha, yeah that wouldn't have been a good move
Remember when it seemed like everyone was pregnant all the time on Friends?
Matt:  lol- you only throw baby's into a show when it's starting to die
Marg:  And then it was like "let's usually pretend that Rachel doesn't have a baby" because you never saw it. Up All Night is supposed to be about a couple with a baby, but you never see that kid either
Matt:  It's probably for the better...
there's only so much that you can do with a baby-
Marg:  I don't blame them at all
But yeah, so glad New Girl didn't try and throw that into the pot
I did love Schmidt's russian nesting dolls line when he's worried about the results of having sex with a pregnant lady
Matt:  OH Schmit... he's a great character
I have a question:
do you think Zooey D (I'm not going to try and spell her last name) has been fighting a cold over the past while? I've noticed that he voice is really cracky
Marg:  Maybe?
I didn't notice
I have a bit of a complaint!
Matt:  oh what is it?
Marg:  Okay - you know how Winston is a problematic character? In that he doesn't really have much to do?
Matt:  yes
Marg:  Well, they are finally giving him little things to do - his own stories... but they are always totally seperate from the rest of the group!
Matt:  I know!
Marg:  Like, in the last episode, he was just chasing his boss around
Everything else was contained so nicely in the loft, over a very short period of time. It was basically an elevator episode, but Winston was off on his own
Matt:  Yeah- They need to integrate him, as it stands now- if he left the show it wouldn't make the same impact as it would if any of the other guys left.
Marg:  It's sad, because he's had some good moments, and I don't think he is lacking chemistry with the other guys or anything, so there is no good excuse
Matt:  Maybe in season 2 they will have some better angles....
even if the boss came to the loft and had a crazy day with everyone... i don't know
Marg:  at least that would be something!
Matt:  oh well- Still a high fives episode
Marg:  I liked it! High fives!
