Chit Chat: New Girl "Normal"

Matthew:  did you like new girl as much as I did?

Marg:  I did! I wrote a few notes!

Marg:  Like: Jess's white dress in the begining? Amazing! I wish I could wear white. I don't mean that I can't wear white because I'm slutty.

Matthew:  haha

Marg:  I'm messy, is all.

Matthew:  I really want to play that drinking game!

Marg:  Me too!

Matthew:  I was mad when Cece came in and ruined it!

Marg:  killjoy

Matthew:  I know! Winston finally got a new job!

Marg:  A horrible one!

Matthew: I kind of wish that he was still a nanny so we could see more of that kid.

Marg:  He was really funny. And does look like a weird owl

Matthew:  Now here is a criticism: I feel like the show has a lot of extra characters that are hilarious, but are only in like 1 episode for like 5 minutes.... no development

Marg:  Who, specifically? Lesbian Gyno of course

Matthew:  lesbian gyno, kid, landlord

Marg:  They wouldn't have much use for a overly-recurring small child character, to be fair

Matthew:  yes- BUT- they could have used him as winstons go to advice guy- at least over the past few episodes

Marg:  haha, true

Matthew:  I wonder how they are going to end the season...

Marg:  no clue. Except that Jess and the fancy man will have to break up

Matthew:  that's the obvious choice- but it wouldnt be really heartbreaking because they just started daiting...

Marg:  true, but I don't think they have any legs as a couple

Matthew:  they don't- which is why I wouldnt really care if they broke up

Marg:  ha

Matthew:  maybe the big cliffhanger will be that one of them wants to move out

Marg:  oooh, but who?

Matthew:  I don't know.... maybe Nick will get a job offer in another city- it could be his key to an adult life

Marg:  If he doesn't take it (and of course he couldn't, for the show) then that's sort of sad, isn't it?

I don't think it's the sort of show that the end result would be depressing, you know?

Like "yay! This character is staying!" but only if it means their life sucks.

Matthew:  I don't know- they need something- It's season 1, so I feel like they need a good cliffhanger to keep vieweres interested for season 2. Anyway- I guess we'll see in a few weeks!

Marg:  Spare notes: I too, have taped a napkin to a hand instead of a band-aide

Matthew:  haha- I have also done that... more than once- gotta do what you gotta do

Marg:  And I loved the bit about hangover eggs... high risk, high reward.

Matthew:  hahaha- I would have taken the eggs BUT, only if there was also toast...eggs - bread = gross

Marg:  I had super wet eggs over the weekend

Matthew:  eeeeeeewwwwwwwwww

Marg:  yeah. And I had to politely eat them all, because Ben's mum made them. I actually SAW her put water in them - like, whilst scrambling

Matthew:  water in scrambled eggs? I have never hear of such things! Milk yes. 

Marg:  water. in scrambled eggs. It was wrong. Totally incorrect.

Matthew:  You are brave. I don't think I could of done it....

Marg:  I had a whole wheat english muffin to help me through

Matthew:  that's not enough....

Marg:  not really

Matthew:  well- High fives for New Girl! No fives for your breakfast
